1st Etsyversary and Give Away

Hi everyone!

Today is my very frist etsyversary. I've now been one year on Etsy as a seller and sold 568 items, which is wonderful!
My life has really changed since Etsy as I intend to make it a living.
I met wonderful people on Etsy and also bought beautiful items there.
I must admit, I do love Etsy.

GIVE AWAY:
So in order to celebrate this little event for you but big for me, I'm doing a little give away.
I will give away 35 USD that you can spend whenever you want in 2009 in one or more times!
This give away is open until the 10th of May

RULES:
To enter this give away you have to live on Earth and be a mammal which doesn't live in the sea (I'm pretty sure polymer clay wouldn't do great in water)

You may have several entries:
1 entry: Leave a message telling me your 2 favorites items in my shop
1 entry: Tell me what you would like to see in my shop (must be a new idea so verify if this isn't already in my shop)
2 entries: Blog about this give away (with an image from my shop)
1 entry: Tweet this on twitter
1 entry: Join my facebook page
1 entry: tell me a joke

For every entry leave a comment !

The winner will be chosen randomly!
Good luck to everybody!

xx

    1. OK for one entry: you haven't made any gourds.....
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    2. for another entry: a joke
    hope I don't offend. This is a typical Canadian joke. (explanation: Newfies live on our island province, Newfoundland & we, mainland Canada, have traditionally made good-natured fun at their accents & their homespun ways).
    The Newfie Stud:
    Bob liked to frequent the Newfoundland beaches, but was never able to attract the girls. He decided to ask his friend George the lifeguard for advice.
    'It's dem big baggy swimming trunks, my son.
    Dey're years outta style. Yer best bet is to grab yeself a pair of Speedos - about two sizes too small, and drop a fist-sized potato down inside 'em. I'm telling ye, man ... ye'll have all de babes ye wants !'
    The following weekend, Bob hits the beach with his spanking new tight Speedo, and his fist-sized potato. Everybody on the beach was disgusted as he walked by, covering their faces, turning away, laughing, looking sick!
    Bob went back to George the lifeguard and asked him, 'What's wrong now?'
    'Lard-Tunderin' Jeezus b'y!' said George, 'the potato goes in the front!!'
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    3. For the 3rd entry:
    I love the Macarons because I've not seen them over here and the croissants. You've made them look so real.

    3)I have no facebook..or twitter...
    Soooooo:

    Little Johnny was sitting in class doing math problems when his teacher picked him to answer a question, "Johnny, if there were five birds sitting on a fence and you shot one with your gun, how many would be left?" "None," replied Johnny, "cause the rest would fly away." "Well, the answer is four," said the teacher, "but I like the way you're thinking."

    Little Johnny says, "I have a question for you. If there were three women eating ice cream cones in a shop, one was licking her cone, the second was biting her cone and the third was sucking her cone, which one is married?"

    "Well," said the teacher nervously, "I guess the one sucking the cone."

    "No," said Little Johnny, "the one with the wedding ring on her finger, but I like the way you're thinking."

    Here's just a friendly Blonde joke :)

    There were two blondes, and they had just came from a store.
    The blonde that owned the mustang had locked her keys in the car. She was trying to pick the lock when she stoped to rest for a second.

    When she sat down, her friend said, "Hurry up, it's starting to rain and the top's down!"

The citrus earrings, the lemon ones and the grapefruit ones are a new favourite of mine. Stress Management:

    Just in case you are having a rough day, here is a stress management
    technique recommended in all the latest psychological journals. The
    funny thing is that it really does work and will make you smile.

    1. Picture yourself lying on your belly on a warm rock that
    hangs out over a crystal clear stream.

    2. Picture yourself with both your hands dangling in the cool
    running water.

    3. Birds are sweetly singing in the cool mountain air.
    4. No one knows your secret place.

    5. You are in total seclusion from that hectic place called the
    world.

    6. The soothing sound of a gentle water fall fills the air with
    a cascade of serenity.

    7. The water is so crystal clear that you can easily make out
    the face of the person you are holding underwater.

    :D

  51. Sorry....can't resist sending you another Canadian Newfie joke:

    A Newfie wants a job, but the foreman won't hire him until he passes a little math test. Here is your first question, the foreman said. "Without using numbers, represent the number 9."
    "Without numbers?" The Newfie says? "Dats easy." And proceeds to draw three trees.
    "What's this?" the boss asks.
    "Have you ain't got no brain? Tree and tree plus tree makes 9" says the Newfie.
    "Fair enough," says the boss. "Here's your second question. Use the same rules, but this time the number is 99."
    The Newfie stares into space for a while, then picks up the picture that he's just drawn and makes a smudge on each tree... "Ere you go."
    The boss scratches his head and says, "How on earth do you get that to represent 99?"
    "Each of da trees is dirty now. So, it's dirty tree, and dirty tree, plus dirty tree. Dat makes 99."
    The boss is getting worried that he's going to actually have to hire this Newfie, so he says, "All right, last question. Same rules again, but represent the number 100."
    The Newfie stares into space some more, then he picks up the picture again and makes a little mark at the base of each tree and says, "Ere you go. One hundred."
    The boss looks at the attempt. "You must be nuts if you think that represents a hundred!"
    The Newfie leans forward and points to the marks at the base of each tree and whispers, "A little dog come along and poop by each tree. So now you got dirty tree and a turd, dirty tree and a turd, and dirty tree and a turd, which makes ONE HUNDRED!"
    The Newfie is the new supervisor.
    Happy Etsyversary!

  52. Okay, here is my suggestion for something new: What about non food? Tiny crafter settings. Sewing Machine and fabric. Little balls of wool and knitting stuff and so on ..

    ReplyDelete
  53. Here comes the joke. Don't expect much, though :D

    Little Johnny is approached by the lifeguard at the public swimming

    pool. "You're not allowed to pee in the pool!" yells the lifeguard.

    "But everyone pees in the pool," said Little Johnny.

    "Maybe," said the lifeguard, "but not from the diving board!"

    ReplyDelete
  54. I like the cookie ring and the rainbow popsicles earrings a lot.
    And I just twittered about this :)

  69. First off, thanks a million for running this contest! Whomever wins this is going to a sweet treat indeed! I found your work on dA and have just been blown away by how skilled you are and in such a relatively short period of time to boot.

    In the store right now, my two favourite items would have to be the Chocolate and Pink cake http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=23768008 (the moist texture is just mouthwatering!) and the Salmon Board (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=21658118) - beautiful!

    Just want to add also that I love the bracelets you have up on the deviantART account, as well as the teeny weeny box of colourful macarons!

    I shall comment more as I attempt to complete more of the tasks :D

  81. My absolute FAVOURITE are the large fruit tart earrings. I don't even have to check out your shop to know that! (actually, I do love the salmon and prawns because they look so real, but as a vegetarian I think people would laugh at me for wearing them. So fruit tart it is!)

  82. I became a fan on your facebook page (easy!)

  83. Suggestion for new stuff:

    Why not do food/ sweets from around the world? I'm in Australia, and I think it would be funny to see ANZAC biscuits and pavlova in miniature. In America maybe fruit pie and key lime pie? In England scones and steamed pudding. Princess torte for Sweden... black sticky rice for Japan (not very interesting to look at, though)

    A sausage and a rasher of bacon are in a frying pan. The sausage says "Whew! It's getting hot in here!" The bacon looks round and screams "Look! A talking sausage!"

    I'd like to see you do more odd fruits like pomegranates. I think you could do anything just lovely though.

    I am not very funny so I won't try a joke but I am your new fan so you win anyway :)

    Phew! That was so difficult!

    I would love to see some T-bone Steak earrings! Also, rings and/or earrings made with your breads would be adorable.
