Bread, Cheese and Cookies

Oh my gosh! What? Second post of the day??
Well hmm yup :D guess I'm not regular at all and I don't like writing my internship report, lol!
So here some miniatures I made lately, they're all in my etsy shop.
Did I already mention that I just love making bread? I think it's so fun to start with clay, a pin and some pastels and to make it look like bread! Polymer clay is such an interesting and wonderful medium!

Cupcakes and Cake Slice Pendant

I made two cupcake set!
Cupcakes are still difficult to me, I'm not totally satisfied with the result, but they good enough to go in my etsy shop :P


And here a cake slice pendant, this is more or less a custom order, not sure though but I like it :P Actually I'm just wearing it, which means a lot as I'm not too much into pendants.

'Glamour' Food Earrings

Looking at other jewelry I thought of using minifood like beads or semi precious stones.
Since now I only made 2 different pairs of earrings, but I will make more. I'm not sure if these will sell good as they somewhat too unique, but I like them, so I can still keep them for myself if they don't sell.

The macarons dangle is available in my Etsy Shop. The tear drop with fruit tarts will soon be available (very probably this evening or tomorrow)

En regardant d'autre bijoux, j'ai pensé utilisé les miniatures comme des perles ou des semi precieuses. Jusqu'à présent je n'ai fait que des paires de boucles d'oreille, mais je vais en créer davantage. Je ne suis pas sûre qu'elles se vendront bien, mais je les aime bien, donc au pire je les garderais pour moi même.

La paire aux macarons est disponible dans mon Etsy Shop. En ce qui concerne les gouttes d'eau avec tartelettes, elles seront disponibles bient^to (ce soir ou demain)

Back from Korea!

Hi everyone!
I'm finally back from South Korea, the trip was beyond great and I really don't know were to start!
We saw so many different things so I'll just make a list of them :)

- Traditional Houses and Villages -
the houses are in a U shape, knowing that man and woman are separated and have their own house and courtyard.

The Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul is build on the same principle.


- Temples -
we saw different ones, but the absolut best one, was our "temple stay", when we slept in the temple of Songwangsa! We did two Buddhist prayers which were just breath taking.
The ceremony begins with a monk which drums on a huge round drum. This first drum is to wake up all the spirits living in the air and on earth. The drumming is quite long and really beautiful to see. Then another monk hit a huge bell which wakes up those living in the earth. When hitting the bell everyone goes in the temple to pray. A last wood fish is hit by a monk to wake up all those living in the sea.
We did two prayers, one at 6:00 pm and one at 3 am (yes you read right :D).
We "slept" in a common girls room/boys room "à la coréenne", directly on the heated ground ( 35°C in the girls room 50°C in the boy's room!!)


- Huge Seoul -
Everything is huge in Seoul, at least for a European. You have enormous buildings, and 10 times the same when it comes to dwellings! The roads have 4 to 6 ways and the river, hangang is more than 1 km wide in Seoul!!
One of the most popular district in Seoul is the myongdong, which counts 1 million persons coming there per day!


Ok, that's it for now, I should translate this in French, but it's alread 2:00 pm and I'm really busy :)

very short post

Koooreeeeaaaaaa!!!!!!!!

Yay!
Just checked in for the flight on airfrance! We have the seats 36K and 36J. Our flight's departure is 20h25 and we arrive at Seoul at 15h20 (local time).
Woohooooooooooooooo!!!
I will finally take 4 books, I hope that will be enough.


MINIATURES
One of my customer told me it would be good to make bigger food jewelry, which is probably true, I like tiny things and very discreet jewelry.
Well anyway, I made some bigger fruit tarts studs which I'm just wearing and which will be available when I come back. (these are miiiiiiiine muhahaha)
I'm thinking of having a "tiny earrings" section and a "medium to big earrings" one.

Macarons and Ice cream

2 days left to the bg and long flight to Korea!
I bought 4 books today:
Aldous Huxley, Brave New World and Brave New World The Beginning (or something similar)
René Barjaval, l'Enchanteur (it's about Kind Arthur and Merlin)
Kay Meyer, The Alchemist's Daughter (apparently a best seller in Germany and translated in 10 languages)
I love books.
Oh and I will also take the Murderer, part 1 by Robin Hobb (my boyfriend's brother bought it but I want to read it)
I guess for 2 13 hours flights and all the evenings that should be enough :D :D

MINIATURES
I made some ice cream lately, ice cream is a good invention :)

Patisseries Française

Religieuses et éclairs au chocolat!
Rien de tel en dessert, au goûter ou juste par plaisir :)
mais mais mais!! Elle écrit en français! (enfin)
Donc voici quelques délicatesses françaises parfaitement minuscules. L'éclair au chocolat mesure 1,8 cm.
Vous pouvez voir différentes présentations et également quelques truffes en arrière plan.
Je ne sais pas encore s'ils atterriront dans mon magasin etsy ou au SIMP 2009 :) probablement au deux, peut-être en revenant de Corée, peut-être avant.

Religieuses and chocolate éclairs! What could be better for dessert, for tea time or just for pleasure :)
So here are some French very little delicacies. The chocolate éclair measures about 1,8 cm (0,7 inch.) You can see that I tried different displays and they're also some truffles in the background. Not sure yet if it will go on etsy or at the SIMP 2009 :) probably both, probably on etsy when I'm back from Korea, maybe before.

Crêpes and Waffles!!

Nothing if you're on diet, I've been on a sweet trip again!! Too lazy to try new things, and also a bit too busy for new things :)
I LOVE crêpes and waffles in real life so it's always a pleasure to reproduce them in miniature!

First of all a crêpes party! Good enough to be jealous of your dolls :D


Now some waffles for you dolls, so they can have a bit choice! You don't want them eating only crêpes, do you?

And some waffle for you hair! A chocolate waffle with fresh strawberries on whipped cream!!


That's all for today, I listed the crêpes and the waffles in my etsy shop, along with other new things. I'm quite productive these days as I try to fill three sections, the 1/12 miniatures, hair and ring section and the pendants section!

MY LIFE (nothing to do with minis)
1. I'm invited two times this weekend, that's abit more that I can bear lol! I'm invited for Saturday's lunch and on Sunday... hope all this sociability won't kill me! Wish me luck ^^
2. I'm flying to Korea next Friday, I will post again before leaving, but I needed to tell you that! hmm... woooohooooooooooooooo!

Ok I've been tagged by Juanita, the tag says:

So, that's funny, because when I open my computer, I have three folders, three hard disks, and two dvd cd player.
I really don't like that tag thing, because it just can't work every time! So instead I will show you a photo of my life (and believe me it's rather rare)

This is "boudu" our fat cute guinea pig, he's quite dumb and only likes to eat, but I adore his face :D A big hoorey for our little friend!!

I received an award from one of the best miniaturist in the world, Linda Cummings, which is sometimes called "Aunt Linda" XD (I've got my sources, Linda :D)
I also receive an award from Pussman, I don't know her name >< style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">5 fave things

1. Miniaturize. Not very original but true, I can't live without it anymore.
2. Bicycling with my lovely boyfriend, who will be a great architect and save the honour of our family as I only will be a miniaturist :D
3. Eating croissants. I can't imagine something better for breakfast! With lots of jam! Strawberry jam, apricot jam or blueberries :)
4. Reading, I love reading, but I don't read enough, mostly I lack of time... I should read more than I do, because it's very relaxing to me!
5. Tidying!! Yes I love tidying, I love making a big mess when working and then put everything at its right place when I'm finished (which doesn't mean everyday!) I also like to order my clothes per color haha! And yes I'm crazy if you were still doubting :D
